1.. Booking & Payment

Full payment is required to secure your booking. Any photography add-ons must be approved and paid for prior to the hire date.

2. Hire Inclusions and Studio Use

Your studio dry hire booking includes use of the main studio space and gym space, along with the props and furniture provided.

Booked time includes both set-up and pack-down. For example, a 10–11am one-hour booking requires arrival at 10am and full pack-down by 11am. No refunds will be issued for late arrivals.

Animals are welcome for pet-specific shoots but please specify this at the time of booking.

Access: You may access the space only during your booked time. Please allow time for setup and pack-down within your hire window. Someone will be on-site to let you in, or you may be provided with a lock box code.

Gym Bookings: Gym bookings do not include access to the upstairs main studio. Clients wishing to use studio props and backdrops must book the Studio Dry Hire option.

Parking: One car space (#4) is available in the top car park. You may briefly unload in front of the garage door, but please don't block incoming traffic. Otherwise, please find a park on the street.

Cleaning: Please leave the space as you found it. A cleaning fee may apply if the space is left in poor condition.

No Smoking: The studio is a smoke-free space unless otherwise approved.

3. Equipment & Damages

The Client is responsible for all equipment and props during the hire period. Any damage will be invoiced at full replacement cost.

Lighting equipment is included.

Full-length paper backdrops used may incur an additional fee.

No dirty shoes or heels on the cyc wall where possible, no dragging furniture, and no standing on the curve.

4. Cleaning, Setup & Packdown

The Client must return the studio in the condition it was found. A cleaning fee of $50 applies if the space is left messy.

ALL lights must be turned OFF and the roller door must be closed upon exiting.

5. Cancellations

Cancellations within 48 hours of the booking are non-refundable. One reschedule is permitted with a minimum of 24 hours' notice, subject to availability.

6. Liability

Spicy Studios GC is not liable for any injuries, damages, or lost property occurring during studio hire.

Client access to the mezzanine is strictly prohibited, as the stairs have no handrail. The mezzanine is for private use only.

7. Usage Rights & Content

The Client retains full ownership of all content produced during their session, unless the session was shot by an in-house photographer. The Studio Owner may request permission to repost or share content for promotional purposes, subject to the Client's written approval.

Image Delivery: Any photography completed by Melody Rachel Photography will be delivered within the agreed timeframe via an online gallery or download link.

8. Security Camera Notice

Security cameras are installed at the front door, in the gym, and upstairs at Spicy Studios GC for security purposes only. Cameras are motion-activated and record only when triggered — they are not continuously filming.

No cameras are located in changing areas or anywhere privacy is expected, and footage is not used to monitor or capture individual sessions. Footage exists solely for the security and safety of the space, and is never shared, viewed for general monitoring, or used for marketing purposes.

By booking, you acknowledge and consent to this.

9. Code of Conduct

We aim to create a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment. Any behaviour deemed unsafe, disrespectful, or inappropriate may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.
